We went up early so we could grab dinner someplace. We thought we should try something new, not the typical chain restaurants. So we saw this little burger place that said "gourmet burgers and shakes" in the window. Sounded good! Our first red flag should have been the asian decor when we walked in the door. Nothing against asian food - but not for a burger joint. Eddie ordered a southwest burger that had guacamole on it. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Burger. Eddie's was so icky - the guac was yuck! My chicken wasn't even real chicken - not like the chicken breast you picture when you order it at Red Robin. This was a processed, flattened piece of some type of meat...I wouldn't call it chicken. We skipped the burgers, ate the fries and shake and ran!
The HS Musical performance was cheesy - much like the movies - but entertaining nonetheless. Amazing to watch them perform parts of the movies on ice - like the basketball scene. I thought it was pretty cool to watch them play basketball on ice. The vendors were selling all kinds of REALLY overpriced souvenirs... $50 jerseys, $20 lighted microphones... we promised the kids we'd take them to Walmart and pick something out later! However, we did end up with a $10 slushy in a souvenir glass and some popcorn.
Two days later I took Hunter and Hailey to see High School Musical 3. I think I've gotten my fill now.
